What I am currently doing with my small business

I am currently working on improving my baking skills by enrolling in online classes to increase my knowledge and my product line, so I can be able to offer new flavors and new products to my customers. Relocating to a new town has had its challenges and triumphs as far as my business is concerned. I have lost a percentage of my clients due to them not being able to travel 25 km out of town. All hasn’t been lost as I have retained most of the old ones and gained a few in the new town and my client base has diversified racially which I am so grateful for. I have a sponsorship going to support a local church in donating a cake for the recipient of the price they are offering, to gift a needy student who has passed their matric well, yet can’t afford tertiary registration fees. My social media page has had a steadily growing following over the few years. I am grateful for the impact my business has had in the community, it has inspired my neighbour and my little brother to pursue a career in the culinary field.

If I acquired funding this is how I would expand my small business

I would buy bigger and more equipment, and move out of my kitchen and into my garage to accommodate the equipment. I would employ an assistant to help with orders. Involve myself in empowering more women in terms of offering classes and more sponsorships to the needy as an initiative to give back.

How will funding impact my small business

Funding will help me achieve the ultimate goal of being independent. It will help my business in being able to buy more assets and equipment for further expansion in the long term Provide my business the opportunity to provide employment, especially to women.
