What I am currently doing with my small business

So I call myself a bakist! I’m not where I want to be, but every day is a learning experience. I’m currently running my business from home; I bake and sell on taxi ranks and occasionally door to door, but I’ve gained some customers through social media, Facebook and word of mouth, so most of the time I do specials and have a “SPECIAL DAY” in town; I’ve been running this business for a year and a half; it hasn’t been an easy journey, but because i hold the passion for baking, i will persevere.

If I acquired funding this is how I would expand my small business

I plan to buy ingredients in bulk as this will help me to save on costs in the long run. Id also like to expand my customer base by creating new and different baking styles and ideas. Perhaps create a business plan to obtain funding to one day open my own business. I would like to have the opportunity to hire staff in order to increase my supply demand to customers. I think entrepeneurship has taught me its a difficult road, we need help sometimes in order to excel and reach new heights, as i was helped by the course offered to me by the Al Fidaa Foundation, so i would like to help someone else. I’m currently in need of bakery equipment such as 1 Deck Tray Oven- Gas (Load shedding is showing me flames) 20Lt Dough Mixer 170mm steel table Proofer 1 X 30kg scale Baking trays

How will funding impact my small business

My goal is to provide a service by focusing on baking, which is my forte. This will allow me to carve out a niche for myself. I’d like to build an empire from my home-based business; this is my goal, and I’ll stick to it no matter what!
