What I am currently doing with my small business
I am currently operating my business at my house. I am selling birthday cakes, scones and buiscuits. I am selling my products in my community and also to my church members.I am so proud of the feedback that I get from my customers. I have always had a passion for baking but i was always hesitant. I was very glad when I got the opportunity to learn baking at Alfidaa School of baking. I joined the school on the 27th of July 2023 the training gave me the confidence and knowledge to start baking items that I can sell. I started baking and selling my products in the the third week of August 2023. I am very grateful for the teaching I get at school for it is making me live my dream. I always try to practise the things I learn at school so that it becomes more natural.
If I acquired funding this is how I would expand my small business
My aim is to make my business grow into a large business. This will be achieved by buying the necessary equipment needed which are industial cake mixer, a microwave,four plate stove that comes with a big oven and a cake turning table. I also need capital to buy the following ingredients, 15kg butter, 15kg castor sugar,15kg icing sugar and 20 liters sunflower oil. The total funding required for the above mentioned equipments and ingredients is R25 000.
How will funding impact my small business
The funding of my business will help the business to grow and help me to achieve the desire and dream of my life of baking. I love baking very much and it has alwasy been my hobby growing up. My vision is to grow my knowledge of baking and bake more products that we have learnt at shool such as cup cakes, soft rolls, cinnamon buns, sweet pastry etc. My vision is to supply local stores with my products. From the research that I have done, local stores will take 35% from the product earnings if they sell for me.
The funding of my business will bring a positive impact in my life, my family and my community in many ways. First it will improve the satandard of living as i will be having a good source of income. I plan to expand my bussines so that I will be able to employ three to four people from the community to run the business. I will also be in a better position to donate some of my products or money to less priveleged people. I will also be of great guidance and benefit to those who wish to have their own business especially those who love baking. I will do this buy offering training and advice to those who want to succeed.
