What I am currently doing with my small business

We are a fashion brand that designs , supply and sell garments to individuals ,retail shops and other institutions. We cater for women of all ages and sizes with special focus on fully figured ones. We aim to empower women by offering stylish,unique designs with high quality garments that embrace body diversity . We desogn and make ready to wear and bespoke garments as per clients requests. We also have an online presence whereby we advertise and sell our garments.

If I acquired funding this is how I would expand my small business

We would set up a dedicated production space or warehouse with industrial sewimg machines , overlockers ,cutting tables and storage . Skilled tailors,cutters and qualitycontrollers will be hired to increase output and maintain standards. We would also invest in technology to streamline designs and prototyping. That would also help us introduce new collectons for different body types and occasssions . We would also launch an internship programme for fashion students , employ women and youth from underprivileged communities and upskill them. Partnering with SEDA or KZN CTC for practical training would be an advantage . Also participate more in fashion events and organise pop up shows. We would use part of the funding to certify the brand for ethical and sustainable practices.

How will funding impact my small business

Our brabd would gain trust, attrect media attention and appeal to higher end clientelle therefore producing more garments , fulfill orders and reduce lead times . We will reach more customers and increase revenue by expanding into online sales ,pop up shops and retail distribution locally and internationally . More job opportunities will be created especially for women and youth by hiring seamstresses , marketers , and admin staff , Our designs can become more competitive and unique by investing in new fabric technologies, software and creative collaborations . We will grow beyond our current base through new cities or countries and attending international fashion events and partner with global retailers.
