What I am currently doing with my small business
Currently Iam baking cupcakes, scones, biscuits and cakes. Iam baking from home using my two-plate stove with a mini oven. When i get big orders i use my cousins’ oven. Everyday i bake a small bucket of scones and sell it to the uber drivers. I target them in the morning around 10am and go to a park where they park when they are waiting for trips. I also bake cakes when i get orders from my clients. On Sundays i bake cupcakes and sell them at church after service. Most of my customers are from my church and also from friends and family. I advertise my work through my Facebook page and also word of mouth.
If I acquired funding this is how I would expand my small business
if I get funding there is many things, I would like to do in order to expand my business’s first step i would take is to make sure I register my business and follow all the healthy procedures as well as building a strong marketing system for my business’. I would also buy a 4 plate defy stove with an oven, a fridge to store my products and a stand mixer. I would also look for a bigger space where i will be staying and use an extra room or garage for my business. I will look for shops that supply ingredients for baking and buy the ingredients in bulk. I will also introduce delivery of products for an extra fee to make sure that my products get to clients in a perfect condition. I would buy a stove in game which is about r3500, a stand mixer for R5000 and a fridge for R3000.
How will funding impact my small business
funding will greatly impact on my business in the sense that i won’t be limited by my social bare ground. Buying my ingredients in bulky will ensure that i get my ingredients cheaper which will adjust the cost price hence more profit. Also, funding will help me to create employment for other people. Funding will allow me to buy the necessary equipment which will be an advantage to my business because right equipment will ensure smooth flow of my business. Funding will allow my business to achieve its goals and survive. I would be able to deliver anything that the clients require.
